Artficial Intelligence and Economic Growth: Vision and Business Solutons by INTEL

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is all around us – we encounter it in our daily tasks such as talk-to-text and photo tagging, and see it contributing to cutting-edge innovations such as precision medicine, injury prediction and autonomous cars. AI is the next big revolution in computing and holds the promise to provide insights previously unavailable while also solving the world’s biggest challenges.

On February 15th Collegio Carlo Alberto in Turin -in collaboration with ADDFOR spa and DESPINA Big Data Lab- will host the first event on AI for the Technologies in Global Competition Series. Special Guest is Fiaz Mohamed, Head of Business Development, AI Products Group – Intel Corp.

The Intel Nervana NNP is a purpose built architecture for deep learning. The goal of this new architecture is to provide the needed flexibility to support all deep learning primitives while making core hardware components as efficient as possible.

Intel® Movidius™ VPUs drive the demanding workloads of modern computer vision and AI applications at ultra-low power. By coupling highly parallel programmable compute with workload-specific hardware acceleration, and co-locating these components on a common intelligent memory fabric, Movidius achieves a unique balance of power efficiency and high performance. Movidius technology allows device makers to deploy deep neural network and computer vision applications in categories such as smartphones, drones, intelligent cameras and augmented reality devices.
